Hello everyone! Iver-Lewis esophagectomy done Nov 2009 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital (Dartmouth University), here in NH, due to adenocarcinoma diagnosis. Had been receiving yearly endoscopy since diagnosed with Barretts Esophagus in 1994. Results from biopsies taken September 2009 revealed that the Barretts tissue had turned cancerous...In other words, is was detected as early as could hope for. Approx 7cm of esophagus removed, along with the top valve on my stomach. Since the esophagectomy, yearly C/T scans and upper endoscopies performed. Living in The Lakes region of NH on a small farm.
Years since diagnosed:9
