Banner Good Samaritan’s esophageal cancer support group offers support for patients, families, and community members through sharing information and providing resources.

Cost: Free

When: Third Thursday of each month

Where: Grace Middlebrook Family Learning Center at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. 1111 East McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006.

Free 2-hour valet parking at main entrance.

EC Support Inc. in Jacksonville (FL)

Esophageal Cancer Support Inc – 904-374-4599

Esophageal Cancer Support, Inc. meets regularly quarterly with survivors, care givers, medical personnel and open to all to discuss what works well and what doesn’t seems to work well for each of us with programs provided to keep members informed about the latest developments used in esophageal cancer. Members are providing information booths at various events to make people more aware. Members meet esophageal cancer patients when they are in town for appointments, pre and post surgery, provide a newletter every couple of months and are available 24/7 to talk with patients and care givers. We meet for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever is convenient — we’ve even met members for lunch from California at Jacksonville International Airport as they were traveling!

When: The Vincent Stabile Building North, 4481 Mellish Drive, Jacksonville, Florida on the Mayo Clinic campus.

For Whom: Any esophageal cancer patient, survivor, care giver or medical personnel no matter where one is receiving medical attention – all hospitals, physicians, any state – our members are scatteed all over but interested in helping and sharing experiences of recovery and return to normalcy.

ECEF Monthly Group Conference Calls

Esophageal Cancer Education Foundation has conference call support groups that meet on a monthly basis. ECEF has groups for patients and caregivers who have experienced the surgery; people who have lost a loved one to this disease; and people who are involved in a recurrence.
